Lunettes d’optique DISCOVERYOPT XED 6-36X56SFIR FFP-MRAD/MOA-ZERO STOP, diamètre : 35MM

Having had a good experience in using an XED on my Ruger precision rifle in 6.5PRC, I ordered another for my Sabatti STR in 308W. I am using this rifle for target shooting at 600-1000 yards, and also for the McQueens sniper competition here at Bisley, UK. The XED offers excellent clear optics, right up to the upper magnification limit, where there is of course some haloing and eyebox reduction - as with any scope. As my XEDs are in MOA, this makes corrections very simple on the Bisley ranges laid out in yards and the targetry and wind charts expressed in MOA. The MOA XED also has the no-tool turret release, which is a great help on the range when setting zero.
The one small area which could do with some improvement is in the reticule illumination level, which is inadequate under certain conditions. i don't normally use the illumination but, when attempting to shoot a sub-MOA group on a sunny day at long range, it can be very hard to pick out the reticule centre against a black target.
Anyway, I'm a happy customer, and XED number 3 is now on order...

Thank you for asking for my feedback on the DiscoveryOpt XED 6-36×56 SFIR FFP MRAD.
I have now had the opportunity to use the XED in real PRS competition conditions. At the recent Hungarian PRS National Championship, I finished 4th place using the XED 6-36×56.
I also use other Discovery optics on my competition rifles. This weekend I won a PRS competition using my Discovery ED 5-25×56, so my experience with Discovery scopes is based on regular competition use with more than one model.
My experience with the XED has been very positive. The turrets are precise and very good to use, the image is sharp and has excellent contrast, and I especially like the parallax adjustment, which works very well in PRS conditions.
For me, the most important thing is that a riflescope performs reliably under real competition pressure, where adjustments have to be fast and repeatable. The XED has proven to me that it is a very capable competition riflescope.
I am very satisfied with it and will continue using and testing Discovery optics in PRS competitions.

For the price point it is a great optic. Customer service was fair with me as i had accidently purchased a set of ring mounts not realizing they came with a set. They refunded me half the cost and told me to keep the set. Took no time to dial in a zero and the zero hold function is great. Keep up the good work DISCOVERY

This is a lot of scope for the money. Packed with festures, but most importantly image is actually very very decent. Maybe a bit too bully and heavy, thus 1 star less…

I recommend it. The lenses and adjustments are of very good quality. It currently fulfills all its functions.

Really happy with the quality of the scope. Didnt take too long to be posted. The illumination isn't the best but the overall feel and quality of the scope paired with the clear glass make it a winner for this price point. Fair warning this is a very large and heavy scope. I like the the feel of it personally and as its on a bench shooting rig the size and weight is not a problem for me.

A truly excellent, impeccably high-quality scope; the only downside is that the parallax adjustment starts at 40 yards, making it suitable only for long-range shooting.

Lunette d'une qualité vraiment incroyable pour le prix. Très clair, graduations précises, tourelles de grande qualité, je recommande vivement cette lunette pour ceux qui cherchent de la précision à budget raisonnable.

First impressions of the XED are very good: excellent tactile turrets with easy to read labelling and positive clicks, smooth zoom and parallax adjustment - and a securely attached throw lever. The optics are clear and bright, and the graticule perfect for precision shooting at any zoom level. As with all high zoom scopes, there is significantly reduced eye box and image shadowing at c.36x, but that is to be expected. Mounted on a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5PRC, my first scores were 50.8 @600 yards and 49.6 @1,000 yards. The XED delivers excellent performance and value at its price point.

Scope is very well made with quality materials. Glass is super clear and holds zero. I have to admit, for what I paid for this optic, it outperformed some of the higher end scopes I have. Definitely a great scope.

So, from my initial impressions,I found the scope to be big but well built. The clarity on the glass is far better than I expected even at 1000yards, the glass is well above its price range. The tracking on the scope also tracked extremely well. I really like the eye relief asI think the 35 mm tube helps they eye relief and gather more light. I have let several of the guys on the sniper team evaluate the scope they have all been impressed,agreeing this scope is just amazing for it's price. We start up with our first responders long distance matches, If Discoveropt would like to send a banner, we will display it at our long range matches. I intend to give a couple of the scopes away to the winning team during at least one of the matches.The scopes may not be the highest price scopes, but they certainly do well and get the job done, at least the ones I have got to test.

Al momento provato solo a 100 metri per distanze più lunghe aggiornerò la recensione. Buon campo visivo lenti nitide. Con il .308 non ha problemi a tenere lo zero e le torrette hanno click che si sentono senza difficoltà anche se li preferirei un po’ più contrastati per i miei gusti sono troppo morbide.

Après quelques mois d'utilisation j'ai l'impression que les ingénieur R&D sont des tireurs TLD car la grosse tourelle n'est que des avantages pour lire les chiffres dans la pénombre. Les clics sont francs et la qualité optique est vraiment bluffante. En outre tout est livré dans la boite ; il manque juste la possibilité d'acheter ou d'obtenir des colliers réglables afin de récupérer les clics "down" qui ne servent pas !
