No negatives possible here. Clear and bright view. Easy to manipulate. The look and the feel shows that this thing is very sturdy.
I use it on a 45-70 GVT and it holds its zero without any problem. I've shot about a 100 rounds without any problem.
The optic is great! It is very clear and easy to manipulate . When I opening the box and pulled everything out I noticed the rubber lens cover was broken. One of the rubber strands that connected the two lens covers had ripped and was not attached to the cover leaving it unusable. This has nothing to do with the performance of the scope.
I have more scopes than I care to admit from budget to more expensive types. The DiscoveryOpt 1-6 FFP LPVO is impressive for its features, build quality, and reticle. I have it mounted on a .223 with consistent holds after many mags. Even after double checking if there is a better option for the features, I end up with the same company and scope. You will be impressed with the quality, design and the reticle leading to a exceptional utility.
This scope is very adjustable and I have found the accuracy to be very precise after dialing it in. The build quality is also great and it is durable yet lightweight. The process to install it was straight forward and I have been using it very often. I have tried the scope out in damp conditions and I have found that it does not fog up easily which is a plus.
I almost returned this scope. I printed out the return label and was getting the box packed back up when I decided to give the scope one more looking over. To my great joy and chagrin, I had overlooked trying the ocular lens adjustment, which arrived screwed in so tightly and completely that I didn't notice its existence beforehand, which explained all the incredibly screwy optical issues I was having that made this optic seem to be defective. Once properly adjusted, all the detectable distortion and blurring were gone and crystal-clear optical performance was the order of the day. The reticle became tack sharp and well defined also. The turrets are fairly precise. The clicks are solid, but there is a tiny amount of wiggle between the indents (which is not at all consequential to how they perform). It is heavy, but very well built. The provided scope rings seem a tad tall to me and I wish they were a few mm lower in axis, but otherwise they look functional at least. There is one significant issue that I do think needs to be addressed and that is the LED light reflects internally when on and you can see a red ring inside the field of view in dark areas that is not a part of the reticle. This would be a huge issue in low light conditions. There is no illumination setting for night vision, but with all the light pollution inside the field of view that would be a non-starter anyway. The reticle is good enough in my opinion with the LED illumination turned off. This is a good scope, but I recommend not using the illuminated reticle unless you really have to.
Solid.
I'm always looking for ways to improve my shooting experience, I recently had the opportunity to test out the DISCOVEROPT ED-AR 1-6X24IR LPVO Rifle Scope. Overall, I found it to be a solid addition to my gear, offering commendable performance in various conditions.Let's start with the positives. The scope's 1-6X magnification range provides versatility, allowing for quick target acquisition at close range and precise shots at longer distances. The clarity of the glass is impressive, delivering sharp images even in low-light conditions. The illuminated reticle is a handy feature, enhancing visibility in dim environments and making it easier to stay on target.Durability is another key aspect where this scope shines. Its waterproof and fog-proof construction ensures reliable performance in challenging weather conditions, making it suitable for all-season use. The 30mm tube adds to its robustness, providing ample strength and stability. However, it's not without its flaws. One notable drawback is the slight distortion at higher magnifications, particularly noticeable towards the edges of the sight picture. While it doesn't significantly affect overall performance, it's something to be aware of, especially for precision shooting scenarios. At the end of the review, the DISCOVEROPT scope offers reliable performance with a few minor drawbacks. Its versatility, clarity, and durability make it a worthy investment for shooters looking for a dependable optic for a variety of applications.
Welp. The illumination bleeds into the reticle on max brightness. Its a solid piece otherwise. but unsure of long-livity. was purchased for use on a range toy and not duty/self defense use.its nice it ships with rings and a kill flash. its sitting on a ptr-91 right now.
