Great product

The scope is well-made. The image is bright and clear. The click stops at the marked point and holds zero. Parallax is a bit off, especially at longer distances, but it's not a problem, because it is placed on a .22lr rifle intended for recreational shooting at a distance of 100m

Probably the best value First Focal Plane Side Focus scope for the money on the market. A compact scope, withe resettable and locking turrets, a sunshade and turret tool to boot. It would be well worth adding a choice of some scope rings for this, and adding them to the price of the scope.

Bewertung – Discovery Optic XED 6-36x56

Vor etwa vier Wochen habe ich mir das Discovery Optic XED 6-36x56 gekauft, nachdem ich zuvor das Discovery Optic 5-40 besessen und an einen Schützenkollegen weitergegeben habe. Der Umstieg auf das Modell mit den besseren Gläsern war für mich die richtige Entscheidung – und ich bereue keinen Cent der knapp 600 € Investition.

Bildqualität und Leistung

Ich hatte die Möglichkeit, das XED direkt mit einem Steiner MXI 5 zu vergleichen. Zu meiner Überraschung liefert das Discovery ein helleres und klareres Bild. Der Praxistest auf 180–200 Meter mit einer aufgehängten Zeitung zeigte: Große und kleine Buchstaben waren mit dem Discovery XED hervorragend zu erkennen. Das größere Sehfeld und die angenehm große Eye Box machen das Beobachten besonders komfortabel. Das Absehen ist klar und kontrastreich sichtbar.

Schussleistung

Auf meinem Gewehr, einer Winchester .308 Savage Protection Ghost II, harmoniert das XED perfekt. Auf 300 Meter lassen sich präzise Treffer „Loch in Loch“ setzen, auf 100 Meter sowieso. Das Schießen mit dieser Optik macht einfach Spaß.

Verarbeitung & Handhabung

Das Fernglas macht insgesamt einen hochwertigen Eindruck. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist die umfangreiche Ausstattung: Sonnenblenden, Reinigungstuch, Pinsel, Nivellierwerkzeug – alles war in der Verpackung enthalten.

Kritikpunkt

Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen ist das Spiel in der Höhenverstellung (Turmverstellung): etwa 1 mm bevor der nächste Klick einrastet. Bei meinen vorherigen Discovery-Optiken (5-30 gen 2 und 5-40 Gen 2) war das nicht der Fall. Es wäre dennoch wünschenswert, wenn Discovery diesen Punkt zukünftig verbessert.

Der Kundenservice von Discovery ist einwandfrei – schnell, freundlich und kompetent.

Fazit

Das Discovery Optic XED 6-36x56 ist für mich ein Top-Fernglas mit hervorragender optischer Leistung, hoher Verarbeitungsqualität und sehr gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Trotz der kleinen Schwäche bei der Turmverstellung eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Ich würde es jederzeit wieder kaufen.

Wanted to get one long range Optical Scope for target and hunting, and after looking around for a long time finally found the one that I thought would suit me and the rifle I wanted to use it on, along with the next rifle that may get.
I wasn't disappointed. Mounted it on the .223 and sighted it in and that didn't take long.
Well packaged and the controls are on the firm side to dial in but that's a plus for me so that they Won't easily move out in the field.
My sight and very slight down side is the added weight but that's what you get if you want hi magnification.
Maybe DiscoveryOps can add Quick Release mounts to change to other rifles as an additional option.
Very happy with this unit.

La mira me llegó en unas 2 semanas aproximadamente pues al final no estaba en la UE y se envió desde China, no obstante no he tenido que pagar aranceles ni nada.
He de decir que en las fotos se ve bonita pero en persona luce genial, tiene un aspecto robusto y táctico con esas tapas perforadas, el regulador de paralelaje y esas torretas sobredimensionadas. Además el método para fijar el zero es muy sencillo. Aún debo probarla para ver si se descalibra facilmente pero como tiro con pcp no creo que tenga problemas. Se ve bastante nítido y amplia bien, las torretas tienen buen tacto y sonido, quizá la rueda de paralelaje está algo dura pero no sé si siempre es así, es la primera mira que tengo con rueda lateral y no en el frente del visor. Creo que no sé puede pedir más por este precio y primer plano focal. Yo la recomiendo 100%.

je recommande donc cette marque pour celles et ceux qui ne sont pas fortuné mais qui veulent quand même avoir un produit de qualité

This scope has great value. The packaging was excellent. It comes with really nice rings with the perfect height. For a first focal plane with this magnification it is very clear to 35x after that it is still very good. I will be getting another one.

This is my 3rd scope from this company. They are good quality and worth the money, just sad they refuse to sponsor individual shooters and only sponsor match directors. I am the one who got my regular match director interested in their scopes. Decent scopes for a decent price though, i would put it against my $700 scopes for sure.

Very good rifle scope,good turrets,clean glass,almost no chromatic abberation.A lot cheaper then my Vortex scopes.I used on .243 win and .270 win.My nextone is the 2-12 .😁

So this optic surprised me. I've heard good things about Discovery optics but never had the chance to try one out. I needed a new scope for a 17 hmr rifle I picked up and decided to give them a try and man was I surprised. The glass is very clear and the eye relief is really forgiving. The eyebox does tighten up on 16x but I'm never zoomed in all the way anyways. I love the push/pull adjustment turrets. The adjustments are audible and tactile with no slop. I think I like this optic better than my Arken 4-16x and its half the price. If you're on the fence just pick one up you won't be disappointed. I'm definitely going to buy another for my next long range setup.
