Customers praised this 3x24mm ultrashort optic for its "very clear" glass, solid construction, and excellent value. Many noted it works well for close-range shooting and .22 rifles. Strengths include illuminated reticle, easy zeroing, and night vision compatibility. However, some reported issues with elevation adjustments sticking, excessive LED light bleed, and limited eye relief comfort.

A great LPO option

I am always looking for emerging optics company's products. I have tried out many of these products, and Discovery Optic stands out. The glass is very clear, the turrets are easy to re zero after zeroing in your rifle. It does require an allen wrench so this is a bench adjustment, not a field adjustment. The reticle lights at several levels both green and red. I look forward to years of use.

Very compact

It’s a very niche optic since it’s a 3x magnifier in an LPVO style body. The rings also don’t give you the flexibility of mounting a small red dot. I understand that it’s intended for use with NVGs but that limits who would actually find this useful. The etched reticle is good and will always be there even without batteries. This is a good thing because the light bleed is HORRIBLE. Even at their lowest setting both green and red LEDs bleed all over the place. If you find this distracting, like I do, then this is a show stopper. It’s longer than other magnifiers, so it’s really pointless as a magnifier for your main optic or red dot. As a main optic, for the amount of room it occupies, I would rather have an actual LPVO.It’s really is in a weird spot. It’s intended for use with NVGs but most people will just use their red dots. If you do need night vision and magnification, I feel like most people will just get a night vision capable scope. That being said, it’s a low-cost optic that fits a very specific need. It’s not for everyone.

Looks good but...

Scope looks great, nice light weight. Flip up caps are nice. Turrets have positive, audible clicks. You pull them out to adjust, push in to lock, but they barely stay out or in, need more positive locks. Glass seems very good for it's price range. I was fairly impressed with this scope, UNTIL I put scope in my Bog deathgrip tripod and checked out elevation and windage adjustments. Elevation didn't change at all, windage worked just fine. I decided, to try running elevation from extreme up to extreme down and it finally started working. I've never seen that before on a scope, so I don't know if I'd trust it. Seems if reticle tube could get stuck in one spot, might get stuck in another, probably at an inopportune time. I've reviewed several budget scopes and although this is my first Discovery Optics, can't say that I'm impressed. Shame, cause the rest of the scope was nice, but function, well that's key on a scope.

Good Starter Scope

Nice little general scope. Intended to mate with night vision it also gives a nice handy, short, scope for closer work. This is not a 1000 yard scope, its a 100 yard scope for fast acquisition of near field targets. In other words, Varmint control. Use it on a handgun also for a little hand gun hunting if that is your bag. Nice etching means even with a dead battery you are still up and running. Flip up covers to keep scratching down. In total a nice little scope.

Good one!

This is a nicer scope than I thought it would be! It has some good weight to it, not the cheap plastic kind from Walmart. It all worked as described with good vision distance. Perfect for any gun enthusiest. Would recommend!

For Me, at this price point...

... clear glass is about all that I am looking for, and this scope definitely has that. The illumination feature is nice, IF, it's fairly dark, as I found that it does not do much of anything outdoors if it's fairly light out. If you're looking for a fixed-power rimfire scope that can be upgraded with the stated add-ons, it's worth a look. For what it is, what it does, and what it costs: Five StarsI am the Totally Unbiased Reviewer Dude (T.U.R.D.) and that is how I see it.

Works well with the night vision attachment from the same company

Early last year I ran into a big sale on the Discovery NV001 night vision attachment which was supposed to work with their HT-NV line of scopes and maybe some similar. So I shelled out not a small chunk of change and bought it, because I simply could not afford a real night vision scope. Even with the prices on them are down somewhat, I am not ready to do it. Well, I bought the NV attachment and put it aside, hoping to find a good HT-NV scope to pair them. Now I got this HT-NV scope which is basically what I wanted. OK. Since both parts were manufactured by the same company combining them into a single day/night contraption was pretty smooth. In the end I had a rather bulky (because of the NV attachment) scope with the color daytime image and black and white night image for a fraction of the cost of the real McCoy. The image quality is pretty good. Of course it is not a scope one puts on a combat weapon😊 but for the price it is good to have to enjoy shooting in the dark (and hitting your target). I did not have any problems with the HT-NV scope the other buyers described. So, in this price range it may be hit or miss. I am satisfied.

Decent Scope

This a decent scope for the price. The view is good, but don't expect brand name strength and zoom. But ok for a .22 caliber rifle.

Works good so far

It arrived today and was super easy to install, although of course it does not come with its own scope rings. It is very clear and easy to adjust. It is made of great quality, rugged material. The only thing I found to be a negative was the dust cover over the ocular lens, It doesn't fit right making the ocular dust cover useless.
