Excellent LPVO for the money! I have it on my FX Dreamline tactical compact and it has become one of my most accurate airguns to shoot. Love the illuminated reticle, it's so easy to use at multiple distances. The weight contributes to making my FX Dreamline compact a light joy to shoot, i can shoot it off hand all day :-)

This was my first discovery optics product. So far I am very happy with the purchase. Glass clarity is on par, if not a bit better than the vortex strike eagle. So far tracking has been perfect and its held zero for over 1000 rounds of 5.56. I will be ordering a few more optics

Very good scope for the money very clear glass very readable reticle very easy to use but when I got it in and I opened it up there was no throw lever included in the package I generally don't complain much about items but that's a seriously lacking thing that person might need to be able to properly use the optic otherwise it's a beauty of a of a scope

I am impressed with the features and overall quality of the Dicoveryopt rifle scope.The included scope mounting rings feature Torx head bolts (Torx tool included), the scope is easily mounted onto the rifle's picatinny rail. The only item to be applied to the scope is the zoom adjuster post that screws into the zoom adjuster wheel.Many hunters use LockTite on all screws of their scopes after having been zeroed in, I personally avoid using LockTite unless any recurring loosening occurs in too short of time span of usage.To zero in the scope I utilized a bore sighting collimator following it's directions @ 100 yards. Setting the zoom to it's lowest magnification possible first.Eyepiece FocusingWhile viewing an area in the distance I focused the eyepiece to my preference.Windage/Elevation & Parallax AdjustmentRemoval of the windage and elevation protective caps enables access to these settings(top = elevation; right = windage).These adjusters are detente-type allowing for smooth, and positive adjustments, each click of these adjusters moves the point of impact 1/4" to 1/2" when zeroed at 100 yards.Using one of the provided Torx tools I then checked the parallax (during the bore sighting collimator process) and only had to make minor change from the out-of-box settings at 100 yards.Zoom AdjustIncreasing the zoom is done pushing the zoom setting post counter-clockwise, this is a fairly snug adjustment point which I am confident goes hand-in-hand with maintaining the state of a waterproofing rating.This being a first focal plain design scope, the reticle does zoom when the eye lens is zoomed which is beneficial in long shots.6 Way Adjustable ReticleThe reticle display intensity is adjusted using the detente-type dial on the left hand side of the scope, this allows you to set the illumination intensity of the reticle to compensate for your current light environment.Rotation of the reticle adjustment dial is snug, this again pertains to maintaining a waterproof rating.Each click past any one reticle intensity setting is an illumination OFF mode position (convenience).OutcomeOverall, I am impressed with the Discoveryopt rifle scope, it's optics are sharp and clear for rifle scopes within this echelon.Weighing in at 23.2 ounces and being waterproof featuring a 30mm tube diameter with a 24mm objective lens and and adjustable, illuminated reticle, this rifle scope is well featured and a good value.An accurate and tough rifle scope!Tight fitting, flexible, silicone caps protect the objective and eye lens, these are not hinged type lens caps and so care needs to be taken not to misplace these during usage.After zeroing this scope in, I migrated it between a few different caliber weapons and had comparable results as far as accuracy. On one of the rifle's, with minor elevation adjustments, I was accurately hitting targets at nearly 200 yards down range, which is well beyond any range of shot that I will likely ever need to take.

You get a lot for your money with this scope. It is very well made and has great visibility through the lenses with a very usable reticle. The magnification is just right for most "tactical" situations out to the average users ability. It installs easily and is simple to use and offers great accuracy...assuming the shooter does their part. I am very happy with it for the price.

Pros:- Price is cheap for the amount of features, sharpness, and build quality- Daylight bright, not as bright as some red dots (red dot daylight bright) but is excellent and easily noticeable even being an FFP scope. Note: For 1-6X scopes, I prefer SFP simple reticles to know my drops/ranges so 1X is easy to acquire; this scope at 1X is not that easy to acquire in bright or looking into bright areas but it is still pleasantly nice and better than some higher-tier scopes I have. I try to show the quality in the photos but it is much better in hand and eye.- Clear, Crisp, and Sharp Glass and Reticle, I'm amazed at this price level- Operational mechanisms/bushings/bearings are nice and tight and smooth; the diopter is a little looser but not bad- First Focal Plane (FFP); I'd rather have a Second Focal Plane (SFP) on LPVOs but this makes it even more impressive on price point- Good 3-inch eye relief and the eye box is decent but a bit boxed-in at higher power- True 1X, I checked it out on both eyes and I cannot see a shift at 1X- Nice quality look and feel, aesthetically pleasing, though the turrets are a bit bigger/bulkier than I like- Comes with simple Mounts (you’ll want better), an Extension Tube, and an Anti-Reflection Device- A great gift for the kids' first LPVOCons:- Weight comes in at 4 to 5 ounces heavier than a comparable Primary Arms scope that comes in at almost 4X the cost- Kind of clunky along with weight but I’m being picky here- Protective caps are snap-on and not flips- Mounts cheapo and not the cantilever shown in product photos- So far I cannot come across too many cons at this price levelFor the $139 price, this is a great budget scope, I'm very impressed so far upon initial inspection though I will take it for a torture test and report back accordingly if it doesn't meet my expectations.

This scope is absolutely beautiful.... the finish is amazing, and the adjustments are easy to make, as well as turning the illumination dial. One of my Favorite features is how the scope lens covers fit onto the side (see picture) overall I'm Very Happy with this scope and would Highly recommend it!

I have zero experience with this optics brand, so I was hesitant while ordering it, but I wasn't disappointed. I've owned many scopes over the years, for different rifles and different purposes. I am quite impressed with this "DISCOVEROPT" scope. It has a BDC style reticle, which I like very much. The scope is nitrogen purged and fog proof, but I did not expect otherwise. Most importantly, it's FFP! Right after taking it out of its box, I've noticed that it's pretty heavy, but I think that's ultimately a tribute to its solid construction.It's a high quality, very well purpose-built scope that will serve you well. Magnification can be easily adjusted between 1x and 6x by turning the ring located on the eyepiece side but it's missing a throw lever that I like to use instead of the ring. Focus adjustment is also available on the eyepiece end of the scope, which is great, I hate it when the scope does not have such a simple feature as focus. Focus and magnification rings move smoothly, which tells a lot about the build quality of the scope. Windage and elevation turrets are very large - these are the largest scope turrets I've ever seen! You can easily do adjustments with your fingers, and they are covered by caps to prevent damage if the scope is dropped and protect against accidental change of position. Unfortunately, there is no zero stop feature on this scope, or at least I did not figure out how to do it. I really liked how the turrets adjustment works, I can feel and hear distinct "clicks" when I adjust it and turrets have practically no play at selected positions.The scope is illuminated in red color only. I normally do not even consider a scope that does not have illumination because it greatly limits its usability, especially in dusk and nighttime. I would have liked it if there was also a choice of green illumination color because red is great for night and green is great for day, dusk, or dawn. The scope has exceptionally clear optics, I did not notice any distortions even at 6x magnification, which is good. The reticle is etched on the glass and is very sharp. Note that illumination lights up the entire reticle. The brightness knob is extra-large as well, easy to operate, and not too stiff. The number of brightness levels is limited to 6 only, while the knob is so large that they could easily have 12 levels.I need to point out that 1x is not exactly 1x. Close but still a tiny bit different. I think it's about 1.05 to 1.1 times. It's close enough that you can shoot with both eyes open for about 10-20 seconds before your vision starts to play tricks with your vision. This works fine for the initial engagement, but eventually you will need to close your non-dominant (support) eye during sustained fire. It's not perfect, but for about $100 it's pretty damn good.The scope comes with two 30mm rings, that's not that bad, but not good either. I noticed that cheaper scopes usually of low quality include rings that I always throw away or give away and buy a new set of quality rings that might cost you as much as the scope itself. This time I probably will keep the rings as spares and replace them with something more reliable and of higher quality.Pro-tip. While the scope's reticle is fairly complex and provides guidance for elevation or windage adjustments, you still need to zero it first. Your best bet for zeroing it is to use a laser bore sighter. Just insert it into your barrel and zero your scope's crosshair on its dot. Then on a range you can finish fine-tuning your aim at 6x magnification according to the manufacturer's guidelines. This will save you tons of ammo.Note that the scope description on the store page says that it has Parallax adjustment. IT DOES NOT HAVE PARALLAX ADJUSTMENT. I have not seen a scope below 9x magnification level to have one. You simply don't need it on low-magnification scopes. Ignore it, this is a mistake in the description.*** TL;DR ***Yes, I do recommend this scope to every gun enthusiast. It has truly clear optics, magnification from 1x to 6x, which is perfect for a close quarter aiming at 1x. Eye relief is outstanding. The reticle is a highly effective BDC-style one, which I like very much for its visual aid for elevation or windage adjustments. All adjustments work fine. Plus, it has red illumination. What else do you need? For 100 bucks this is an unbelievable deal on FFP you can't beat, and it even comes with fairly good scope rings. This is a great budget LVPO with some nice features and very clear glass. I like the 30mm Tube design and large covered turrets for windage and elevation. But what's up with the skeletonized covers for them, I'm not sure what that's about. The illumination is a nice feature too, I would like red and green colors though. The glass is very clear and compatible with my higher priced optics I have. I installed the "kill flash" or honeycomb matting device on the scope and checked clarity with and without it. I found it to effect the clarity slightly although it was very minimal. I really like this scope, but I do have a few issues with it. First where's the Parallax adjustment, the knob on the left side controls only the illumination, not parallax. Second the variable power ring is too tight so there's no way to stay on target and dial the magnification up/down. Third the reticle is way too busy for my liking, but that's a personal issue not a defect. Overall for the money it's a great FFP scope.

I like the color of this optic. It included covers, the battery, lens cleaner, and a honeycomb flash kill(near add on). The scope sighted in just fine using a bore sight, and has held zero on a 5.56 rifle through about 200 rounds so far. It did not come with a scope mount, but most mounts that come with scopes in this price range are terrible anyways. My main complain is the illumination is weak, especially for those sunny Vegas days, and the eye relief isn’t the greatest. I do like that the illumination turns off between each setting. The reticle is etched into the glass. You can still adjust the windage/elevation with the caps on. Good for the price, in my opinion but it still has those couple flaws.

This is a quality optic with some great features, and I really like this LPVO, but it does have a few odd quirks. This is a First Focal Plane style LPVO, that is, the reticle changes size with changes to magnification (it increases or decreases in size as the image around it grows or shrinks).Out of the box this optic is solid with quite a bit of heft, it weighs 22.5 ounces without the rings, but 27 ounces when mounted. It’s a full 11-inches long, so keep that in mind when deciding if this will fit on the intended rifle. The turrets for windage and elevation are easy to adjust, but they are housed under some quirky knob covers that are exposed to the elements, fortunately, however, no tools are required to lock and unlock your settings. The dials and knobs are smooth without any grainy feeling. The glass is clear and the reticle sharp. Adjustments are easy to make, and it remains in focus throughout all levels of magnification. I also like that they lens covers are easily removable so that adjusting the diopter focus knob is easy to access, but it is easy to lose the caps.There are a couple of minor issues that I encountered, for which I deducted one star total.- The magnification knob is very stiff, I mean extremely stiff. There is a black knob that you can push with your thumb, but it is still way too stiff. I would have preferred a traditional LPVO magnification lever and something that wasn’t so stiff. But at least your settings won’t accidentally move.- The dial for illuminating the reticle is odd in that every other click turns off the illumination before clicking it again for changing the intensity of the illumination setting.Despite my minor nitpicks, the sight held zero throughout my testing on my Henry rifle. For the price it is pretty decent and is feature rich.
